The role:
The position of Head of Sales requires a results-driven, analytical, and entrepreneurial sales leader with deep industry knowledge, exceptional commercial acumen, and a knack for agility in an ever-changing market. The role holder will drive the commercial success of L.E/Miami and SET, combining a numbers-focused approach with creativity and innovation. Working at the intersection of luxury travel and entertainment, the Head of Sales will represent the brand at the highest level, building key relationships, guiding strategy, and growing a high-performing sales team. International travel is part of the role, so you’ll need to be an independent self-starter, also happy to support the planning of team sales trips for the team.
What you will do:
Commercial Growth & Strategy
* Deliver sustained revenue growth across key events through a strategic, data-led approach that adapts rapidly to changing market conditions.
* Develop and execute the sales strategy for both events, ensuring revenue growth and profitability targets are met year-on-year.
* Implement the sales process through defined objectives and activity-based plans to ensure maximum growth and profitability.
* Create yearly innovative propositions for the event to ensure new revenue opportunities are met.
* Adjust strategy based on ongoing data analysis to ensure targets are met and/or exceeded.
Sales Operations
* Oversee the day-to-day operations of the sales team, ensuring efficient processes and workflows.
* Ensure the sales team regularly adds to and updates the CRM database with correct data formatting.
* Set up and monitor a sales and activity reporting process to ensure targets are achieved on time and within budget.
* Provide updated and accurate performance reports to the Event Director on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
* Lead the delivery of the curated marketplace for prescheduled buyer-supplier meetings, adhering to the defined qualification process.
* Manage the entertainment and travel budget of the sales team in agreement with the Event Director.
Relationship Management
* Build and grow relationships with key global accounts and industry partners.
* Work with the Event Director and Head of Marketing to secure sponsorships from relevant companies.
* Attend events within each vertical and associated markets to monitor competitor activity, identify potential clients, and network with existing clients.
* Develop and implement client retention strategies to secure repeat business and long-term partnerships.
* Act as the primary point of contact for major clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
Leadership
* Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
* Conduct regular performance reviews (bi-weekly 1-1’s and annual appraisals) and provide ongoing coaching and development.
* Ensure effective communication and collaboration within the sales team and across departments.
* Ensure the team achieves annual sales figures across stand space, sponsorship and advertising.
* Implement smarter and more efficient ways of working through continued innovation and awareness of emerging sales trends.
Event-Specific Focus
* Secure sponsorships from key travel, lifestyle and entertainment companies.
* Maintain strong knowledge of key players within contemporary luxury travel and entertainment industries.
* Demonstrate genuine interest in current lifestyle and hospitality trends, new openings and launches, and “what’s hot and what’s not.”
What you will need:
* 8+ years of experience in the hospitality, luxury travel, or related sectors.
* Proven track record of driving commercial growth using a data-driven,
* analytical approach.
* Deep understanding of the luxury travel and entertainment travel markets with strong industry connections.
* Demonstrable success in leading sales teams, creating an environment of camaraderie and learning for your team, developing their talent, and providing critical feedback.
* Ability to adapt to change and take an agile, entrepreneurial approach to
* problem-solving.
* Confidence in managing event sales cycles, with familiarity in Salesforce (preferred but not essential).
* Willing to travel globally as required.
* Perform additional ad hoc duties as required to support business operations and team objectives.
