A Team Leader within the Maintenance (Technical Services) will lead a team responsible for site facilities and infrastructure, including capital projects, maintenance, utilities, and environmental management.
What You Will Do
* Lead safety risk assessments.
* Take breakdown report calls and allocate jobs across the team.
* Monitor preventative maintenance performance.
* Identify opportunities for predictive maintenance.
* Assist and stand in for the Production Manager.
* Route cause analysis on any issues raised within your area of responsibility.
* Ensure all relevant information is communicated to appropriate departments/personnel.
* Hold daily start-of-shift meetings.
* Coach team members.
* Reinforce Caterpillar’s Values in Action.
* Participate in Rapid Improvement Workshops (RIWs).
* Respond to unforeseen quality, staffing, safety, and production matters, liaising with the Section Manager to implement immediate corrective action plans.
* Adhere to the Company’s Health & Safety policy and safe working practices.
* Undertake training and further learning as required.
* Report all Health and Safety incidents in line with company guidelines.
About You
* An apprentice‑trained craftsman with experience in an industrial maintenance environment.
* A team member who can work closely with others and achieve agreed objectives.
* A self‑motivated individual with the flexibility to manage individual and team behaviours and motivate others with advice and experience.
* Strong initiative, communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
* A belief in continuous improvement and a team‑based culture.
* Willingness to undertake training and further learning.
* Willingness to work a multi‑shift pattern.
Candidates may have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles
* A current accredited Fork Lift Truck and MEWP licence would be an advantage.
* Previous supervisory experience is preferred.

£40,500 rising to £44,990 when role triggers are met.
