They are a growing, forward-thinking broker based in Chelmsford, Essex, with a dynamic team that brings together decades of broking experience. They specialise in commercial insurance solutions for clients across the UK – from fleet and haulage to property, construction, and professional services.
We're now looking for a driven and ambitious Account Executive, whether as a junior or experienced broker to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on building relationships, enjoys the challenge of business development, and wants to be part of a supportive, entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Development & Sales
* Proactively develop your client base through networking, referrals, and lead generation.
* Attend local and sector-specific networking events
* Achieve new business targets in line with sales strategy and personal goals.
* Work independently to meet and exceed business performance KPIs.
Account Management
* Maintain and grow a portfolio of commercial clients, ensuring excellent service and high retention.
* Collaborate with our broking team on new business and renewals.
* Manage the renewal process and present competitive, compliant options to clients.
* Identify client needs and match them to the right insurance solutions.
* Support clients with mid-term adjustments, documentation, and invoicing.
What we're looking for
* Experience in commercial insurance (broking or underwriting).
* A confident communicator with strong client relationship skills.
* Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
* A team player who enjoys collaborating across departments.
* Someone eager to grow their own pipeline and influence the future of a growing business.
* CII qualification is desirable but not essential.
