An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Specialist – Geochemistry and Geochronology Lab Manager to join the School of Geographical & Earth Sciences on a permanent basis.
In this role, the successful candidate will provide comprehensive technical management and specialist technical expertise to support researchers, post-graduate and undergraduate students in the College of Science and Engineering, particularly in the School of Geographical and Earth Sciences. The postholder will utilise expert knowledge in specialist equipment for rock geochemistry and geochronology analytical research and associated rock and mineral sample preparation. Additional duties include the planning, design, and operation of specialist technical resources to acquire data, optimise research output, and enhance operational systems and processes, including health and safety compliance.

This post is full time (35 hours per week) and offered on an open ended basis. Relocation assistance will be provided where appropriate.
