About the Role
You will be joining a well-structured and organised team of around 30 individuals who are looking to grow the staffing levels. The role offers flexible working hours and has a supportive team culture with regular supervision on cases. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced and supportive team within Dorset Council.
The team are involved in Mainstream assessment and post approval support. Kinship assessments (including Reg 24/Fostering/Special guardianship). Supported Lodgings assessment and support. Staying Put Run the Mockingbird model.
Day to day activities
You will plan own diary.
Full team meeting once a month and assessment team meeting once a month
Take turn in duty rota.
Role will be to complete approx. 4 kinship (fostering/SGO) through to completion to work between home and officeRequired Experience and Qualifications
3 years post qualification experience within UK
Enhanced Childrens & Adults DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
Eligibility to work in the UK
SWE Registered
Degree in Social Work (or equivalent)
Fulfil the travel requirements of the role
Experience in Fostering and SG assessments
Experience of Assessing Kinship Carers by way of fostering and Special Guardianship
familiarity of Coram Baaf forms
Experience of fostering post approval work.Benefits
