Position: Complex Care Assistant
Location: Ramsgate, Kent
Hourly Rate: £15.00- £16.83 per hour with enhanced rates on BH and over festive period
Shifts Available: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, 3:00pm- 6:00pm
About the Complex Care Assistant Role:

We are looking for a kind, patient, and reliable Complex Care Assistant to support a sociable and engaging 18-year-old young man living in Ramsgate. He lives with Autism, Treacher Collins Syndrome with Robin Sequence, and learning disabilities. He is non-verbal, registered as profoundly deaf, and communicates primarily through British Sign Language (BSL). At times, he may exhibit behaviours that challenge; therefore, it is important that he is supported by an individual who remains calm, patient, understanding, and consistent in their approach. More than anything, he needs someone willing to take the time to get to know him. He enjoys getting out and about bowling, swimming, bus and train rides, trips to the park, and spending time in the community. At home, he enjoys participating in activities involving sensory objects.
Your role will be to support him safely, encourage his independence, and help him enjoy the activities he loves.

We're seeking a dedicated and experienced complex care assistant who meets the following criteria:
• British Sign Language trained (desirable- training can be provided)
• Experienced in care (essential)
• Full UK driving licence (essential)
• A caring, patient and genuinely compassionate
• Confident supporting complex care needs
If you don't have BSL experience but are willing to learn, we will support you. We provide funded training through our in-house academy because we invest in our team.

• Employment is subject to satisfactory references, enhanced DBS clearance, and all relevant pre-employment checks.
• Completion of mandatory paid training is required prior to commencement.
