Job Summary
An opportunity has arisen for two suitably qualified Social Workers to join East Dunbartonshire Health & Social Care Partnership's Joint Learning Disability Team. The posts are based within the Kirkintilloch Health and Care Centre.
Our Joint Learning Disability Team is a well-established, integrated, and experienced team co-located within an integrated building, providing a full range of adult social work and primary health services.
The team offers a comprehensive range of health and social care services to adults with learning disabilities, focusing on responsive, flexible, and outcome-oriented support for the citizens of East Dunbartonshire. Key aspects include transition work, promoting personalized services to adults with learning disabilities and their families, along with assessment and care management responsibilities aligned with statutory obligations and national outcomes.
This is an exciting opportunity to gain diverse experience across all aspects of social work within learning disability services in a cohesive and established team.
Applicants must hold a professional social work qualification and be registered with SSSC. Experience in adult social work practice and understanding of relevant legislation are required.
Applicants must also hold a valid driving licence.

PVG / Disclosure Scotland
Note: The following criteria apply to all roles within East Dunbartonshire Council requiring PVG/Disclosure checks. Successful candidates for regulated roles under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020 will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check before employment is confirmed. The cost of the check will be deducted from the first salary, or in some cases, in installments thereafter. If employment ends before deduction, the full amount will be taken from the final salary. Existing employees applying for roles with PVG/Disclosure requirements are also subject to these criteria.
