Job Description Early Years Nursery Practitioner Shooting Stars Nursery – Stourbridge, West Midlands, DY8 1TT £14.10 per hour | Full-time, 40 hours per week Monday–Friday | 7:30am–6:00pm All year round | Bank holidays off Exciting Opportunity Due to Nursery Expansion! Due to expansion of our nursery, Shooting Stars Stourbridge is excited to welcome a new Early Years Nursery Practitioner to our friendly and supportive team. About the Role As an Early Years Nursery Practitioner, you play an important role in supporting children’s learning, development and wellbeing through engaging, child-led experiences. You will help create a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment where every child feels valued, supported and inspired to learn. What We Are Looking For Level 3 Early Years qualification (full and relevant) – Level 2 may also be considered Experience working within a nursery or early years setting Good understanding of the EYFS framework and inclusive practice, including SEND support Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures A positive, reliable and nurturing team player with a genuine passion for childcare and early years education Your Responsibilities Acting as a Key Person and building strong relationships with children and families Planning and supporting fun, engaging and age-appropriate learning experiences Creating a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment for all children Supporting children’s learning and development through play and exploration Building positive partnerships with parents and carers Contributing to observations, planning and high-quality nursery practice What We Offer £14.10 per hour, with annual pay and benefits reviews Flexible working opportunities, including full-time and part-time options 50% childcare discount Generous holiday entitlement, increasing with length of service Fully funded training and genuine career progression opportunities across our nursery group Employee Assistance Programme and Mental Health First Aid support Free uniform and enhanced DBS check Dedicated staff break facilities Team celebrations, recognition awards and social events throughout the year Safeguarding Shooting Stars Nurseries is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
