2x Day Engineers
Role:
Are you an electrically biased engineer looking to take the next step in your career with one of Europe’s fastest-growing digital infrastructure providers? We’re working with a leading data centre operator who are expanding their Birmingham team and seeking two new Day Engineers. This role is critical to keeping state-of-the-art facilities running smoothly, working as part of a small, highly skilled onsite team. You’ll take ownership of maintaining critical infrastructure, responding to incidents, and ensuring uptime, while benefiting from excellent training, development opportunities and certifications.
Responsibilities:
As part of the facilities team, you’ll be responsible for the hands-on operation and maintenance of critical systems in a 9-5, Monday to Friday environment.
Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical infrastructure (UPS, batteries, switchgear, LV/MV distribution).
Carry out both preventative and reactive maintenance activities to ensure operational resilience.
Respond to incidents quickly and independently, escalating when required.
Support mechanical systems and building services (cooling, HVAC, BMS).
Keep detailed logs, records, and ensure compliance with regulations.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programmes.
