We are looking to recruit a 40-hour Qualified Pharmacy Assistant/ Accuracy Checker or a Accuracy Checking Technician on a permanent contract to work at our 726-branch located at Freshney Green Primary Care Centre, Sorrell Road, Grimsby, DN34 4GB.

The proposed shift pattern is: Monday 09:00- 18:00 (1-hour unpaid lunch break) Tuesday 09:00-18:00 (1-hour unpaid lunch break) Wednesday 09:00-18:00 (1-hour unpaid lunch break) Thursday 09:00-18:00 (1-hour unpaid lunch break) Friday 09:00-18:00 (1-hour unpaid lunch break) As a Qualified Pharmacy Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the business in providing an efficient, knowledgeable and friendly service to our customers, with specific responsibility for providing support with the dispensing and labelling of prescription items.
Additional responsibilities will include receiving prescriptions and handing out prescription items and assisting with the ordering and management of stock levels within the dispensary.
NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Pharmacy Services is essential; skills in planning, attention to detail and working under pressure are all required.
The successful candidate must have great people skills as this is paramount to your role.
You will be required to work as part of a well-established team and ensure our customers receive a high standard of service.
11364 40-hour Qualified Pharmacy Accuracy Checker (AC)
- Permanent contract A Qualified Accuracy Checker (AC) is a registered pharmacy professional responsible for the final accuracy check of dispensed medicines to ensure patient safety, operating under GPhC standards.
Key responsibilities include verifying dispensed items against prescriptions, managing dispensary workflows, and ensuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) You will also be responsible for ensuring that our high standards of customer care and services are maintained throughout the branch.
or 11365 40-hour Qualified Pharmacy Checking Technician (ACT)
- Permanent contract.
As a Qualified Pharmacy Checking Technician (ACT) you will be registered with the GPhC and an Accredited Checking Technician qualification to perform final accuracy checks on dispensed items.
Key responsibilities includeensuring legal, safe, and accurate dispensing, managing inventory, and supervising support staff, working under the indirect supervision of a pharmacist.
Previous management/supervisor experience is beneficial but not essential.
You must be confident in building customer relationships, establishing their needs, providing friendly advice and excellent product knowledge and services.
You must also have the drive and enthusiasm to want to coach others in your branch to do the same.
The utmost attention to detail is required in both of these roles along with the ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
In both these roles you will also be responsible for ensuring that our high standards of customer care and services are maintained throughout the branch.
You must have a passion for Pharmacy, in order to drive the business forward and have great people skills, as this is paramount to your role.
