We now have an exciting opportunity for an Assembly Operative to join our busy team.
About the role:
As an Assembly Operative at Salamander Pumps, you will play a vital role in ensuring our products are built to the highest standards. Working within a friendly and dedicated team, you will be responsible for assembling components accurately and efficiently, following established procedures and quality guidelines.
Your day to day:
* Assemble products in accordance with the company’s Standard Work Instructions, ensuring all quality and efficiency standards are met and adhering to accreditation procedures.
* Work collaboratively with team members to achieve operational targets.
* Support Line Leaders and the wider team in complying with the Health and Safety at Work Act and factory safety regulations, while maintaining high standards of housekeeping.
* Undertake additional duties as required to assist the Production Supervisor in achieving optimal performance.
* Assist in the maintenance and care of tooling and equipment.
Your skills and experience should include;
* A continuous drive towards H&S regulations (and also any continuous improvement initiatives)
* Previous experience within a manufacturing/warehouse environment (this is not essential, as we'll train you up!)
* Flexibility to support other areas of the warehouse when required, meaning that a team player is required for this role!
* Being comfortable with being a little bit hands on (and on your feet for the shift). There will be some manual handling involved, moving materials that weigh up to 12kg at times
* Good attention to detail, ensuring that the products are fit for purpose
* Being able to work to targets, monitoring the KPI's you are set
* Basic numeracy & literacy skills
* Keeping a tidy and clean work area for yourself and others within the team
