Job Responsibilities As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will: Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with special educational needs. Assist in creating inclusive learning environments tailored to individual EHCPs. Support pupils with social, emotional, and communication difficulties. Use strategies and resources to help pupils regulate their emotions and achieve their potential. Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals to ensure consistent support. Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and confidence in all learners. Qualifications/Experience The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant will have: Previous experience working with children with SEN ASD, ADHD, SEMH or complex needs. Knowledge of supporting children with tailored interventions. A proactive, patient, and empathetic approach to working with pupils. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service. Right to work in the UK.
