Quality Engineer – Automotive Manufacturing West Midlands, Do you have proven Automotive Quality Engineering experience? Are you IATF Audit trained? Are you highly familiar with 8D processes? The Role Are you ready to take ownership of quality in a fast-paced, first-tier automotive environment? We're looking for a dynamic and driven Quality Lead to spearhead quality assurance, process improvement, and customer satisfaction across our production operations. This is a hands-on, influential role that will see you lead internal audits, drive 8D investigations, support NPI activity, and champion a culture of continuous improvement on the shop floor. Key Responsibilities * Lead all quality processes in support of production and customer requirements. * Drive resolution of customer and internal concerns using structured methodologies (8D, RCA). * Conduct and support internal audits, supplier assessments, and customer visits. * Support APQP and PPAP activities throughout NPI phases. * Lead and deliver internal training on quality standards and tools. * Generate, manage and communicate quality reports to stakeholders. * Champion quality improvements within manufacturing processes. * Ensure adherence to IATF16949 and OEM-specific requirements. Experience Required * Proven experience in a Tier 1 automotive manufacturing environment. * IATF16949 Internal Auditor qualified (Second Party preferred). * Strong understanding of Core Tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans. * Proven track record using 8D methodology to resolve quality issues. * Confident working with customer-specific requirements (CSRs) from automotive OEMs. * Solid Microsoft Office skills – particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. * Background in coatings or surface treatment processes desirable.
