Overview
This is an excellent opportunity to work within the Vascular Nursing team to gain experience, insight and knowledge into caring for vascular patients in an outpatient setting primarily. We provide wound care, advice and support to patients with complex care needs. There is also an element of in-patient care in terms of advice and support in preparation for discharge.
Responsibilities
* Provide information, advice and support for patients with Peripheral Vascular Disease.
* Deliver complex wound care, assessment and evaluation.
* Attend Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm clinics, providing surveillance and work‑up for surgery.
* Conduct post‑discharge follow‑up clinics.
* Manage a defined caseload, assessing care needs, developing, implementing and evaluating care programmes, and setting standards of care.
* Provide specialist nursing care and advice to a specific patient group and contribute to the development of the speciality service.
