Role Description
This is a part-time Health and Safety Advisor role based in Ringwood with a hybrid working arrangement, combining on-site client visits with some work from home. The Health and Safety Advisor will carry out risk assessments, site inspections, and audits to identify hazards and recommend practical control measures. The role involves developing and reviewing health and safety policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure legal compliance and alignment with best practice. Day-to-day tasks include investigating incidents and accidents, preparing clear reports, and advising clients on corrective and preventive actions. The advisor will also design and deliver health and safety training, toolbox talks, and briefings to client teams, while providing ongoing advice on occupational health, EHS, and continuous improvement in safety performance.
Qualifications
* Strong knowledge and practical experience in Health & Safety and Environment Health and Safety (EHS), including relevant UK legislation and industry standards.
* Expertise in Occupational Health, with the ability to identify and manage workplace health risks and promote wellbeing initiatives.
* Proficiency in Accident Investigation, including root cause analysis, report writing, and recommending corrective and preventive actions.
* Demonstrated experience in Safety Training, including developing training materials and delivering engaging sessions to diverse audiences.
* Recognized health and safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent); higher-level qualifications are an advantage.
* Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust with clients at all levels.
* Ability to work independently, manage multiple client assignments, and travel to client sites as required.
* Full UK driving license and prior consultancy or multi-site experience are beneficial.
