Pay: £160-£240 per day (dependent on experience)
Hours: 8:00am - 4:00pm | Full-Time

Supply Desk is proud to be working with a progressive and welcoming secondary school in Southampton, currently seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Science Teacher for a full-time position starting September 2025. The role will initially run through to December 2025, with a strong possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.
The successful applicant will join a supportive and well-resourced Science department, teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students. You'll be helping learners to develop a solid understanding of core scientific principles across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, while promoting curiosity and critical thinking.
We welcome applications from qualified teachers (QTS), ECTs, or unqualified teachers with strong secondary-level Science teaching experience.
* Deliver engaging and curriculum-aligned Science lessons across KS3 and KS4.
* Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports academic and personal growth.
* Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
* Encourage a love of scientific enquiry and practical investigation.
* Participate in departmental planning, enrichment opportunities, and whole-school activities.
* Mixed 11-16 secondary school located close to central Southampton.
* Rated 'Good' by Ofsted, with a strong emphasis on student development and wellbeing.
* Dynamic leadership team and a culture of high expectations and support.
* A degree in a Science-related subject (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or general Science).
* QTS or equivalent teaching qualification preferred.
* Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4 levels.
* Enthusiastic, adaptable, and committed to student progress.
* Confident in behaviour management and classroom organisation.
