Bench Hand Joiner - Permanent Role
Location: South Normanton
Salary - £28,200 per annum (Includes attendance allowance bonus of 50p per hour on hours worked)
Hours: Monday-Friday 7:00am - 2:30pm (37.5 hours working week)
Start Date - Late Feb/early March
A busy, well-established joinery workshop in South Normanton is seeking an experienced Bench Hand Joiner to support the production of high-quality bespoke interiors on a full-time, temporary to permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities for Bench Hand Joiner:
* Manufacture and assemble bespoke joinery items, including internal walls, door frames and window frames, from technical drawings and specifications
* Work confidently with a wide range of materials including MDF, laminates, veneered boards and hardwoods
* Use appropriate hand tools and battery-powered drills safely and effectively during assembly and finishing processes
* Ensure all work is completed to a high standard of accuracy, finish, and craftsmanship
* Maintain a safe and organised workstation, following workshop health and safety procedures at all times
* Wear appropriate PPE, including safety boots, glasses, and gloves, as required
* Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to support efficient project delivery
Requirements of Bench Hand Joiner:
* Proven experience as a bench hand joiner in a workshop or production environment is essential
* Must have experience working with structures (windows, doors & shop fitting)
* Ability to read and interpret joinery drawings with a clear understanding of construction methods
* Skilled in the use of hand tools and cordless power tools, with a practical understanding of working with timber-based sheet materials and hardwoods
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
* Good time management and reliability
* Team-oriented with a positive, proactive attitude
