3 shift rota - 6-2, 2-10, 10-6am (or permanent nights)
25% uplift on lates
36% uplift on nights
You need to be qualified to EN4179 / NAS410 Level 2 (castings experience preferable but not essential)
If you have experience working in radiography, DPI, or FPI, your skills may well be transferrable.
Role:
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, those below
Routine control checks to validate the inspection process and verify equipment calibrations
Keeping computerised inspection records and archiving paper records
Evaluate the results and make accept / rejection decisions based on customer acceptance criteria
Interpret specification and assist in production of NDT techniques for level III approval
Assist in audits and ensure continued compliance with the company's NDT accreditation eg NADCAP and UKAS
Non-destructive examination of castings by radiography using x-rays to reveal internal discontinuities
Operating computered radiography system utilising Phosphor Imaging Plates
Load and unload film cassettes and process films, check radiographs against samples to ensure correct setup
Carry out control checks, processor monitoring and verify equipment calibrations
Restock darkroom cupboards and replenish processing solutions
View and interpret radiographs produced both in-house and externally by subcontractor and evaluate results in respect to customer acceptancePlease apply now for immediate consideration
