Responsibilities
* Manage and coordinate all Children's Services complaints in alignment with the Children Act 1989 Representations Procedure (England) Regulations 2006.
* Oversee and quality assure Stage 1, Stage 2, and Stage 3 complaints, including the appointment and support of Investigating Officers, Independent Persons, and Review Panels.
* Act as the Trust's lead adviser on complaints legislation, Ombudsman guidance, and best practice in children's social care complaints handling.
* Liaise with senior managers and Heads of Service to agree on proportionate, timely, and robust responses to complex and high risk complaints.
Qualifications
* Degree or equivalent professional qualification, or significant relevant experience in a complaints, governance, or social care environment.
Registration and Compliance
* Sound working knowledge of the Children Act 1989 and 2004.
* Strong understanding of statutory complaints guidance for Children's Social Care and Ombudsman expectations.
* Knowledge of safeguarding responsibilities and information governance requirements.
