Role Definition
The Intakes QA will ensure that targets are met and regularly challenged and improved on. Delivering high standards of quality, ensuring product produced is to customer specification in line with critical control points, GMP and H&S requirements. Paying special regard to -
* Quality, cost control, yield and utilization
* health, safety and ethics
* traceability
* product integrity
* labelling
* company, personal and food hygiene rules and legislation
In a chill production area accountable for the effective and efficient quality assurance/control of product and to monitor hygiene practice and advise management on any issues'.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure quality and checks are carried out to agreed procedures and schedules
Ensure primals are butchered to the agreed specification and that the appropriate yield/costings are conducted correctly and communicated to the relevant personnel
Ensure all products are labelled to specification.
Collect, store and analyse as appropriate samples
Check product, trailer and fridge air temperatures
Monitor general product quality and advise department supervisors/managers of any issues
Attend meetings as and when required
Compile non-conformance logs and take appropriate action
Carry out audits of the factory against HACCP principles
Carry out any additional duties that may be reasonably requested by your manager
Adhere to all installed HACCP procedures and monitor CCP's where necessary
Adhere to current legislation with regards to safe food production
Monitor staff personal hygiene practices
Ensure that product meets individual customer requirements
To adhere to Company Health and Safety policies
Person Specification
Must be confident and a clear communicator in English
PC Literate
A team player with the ability to be self sufficient
Proven interpersonal skills
Must be highly organised and have excellent attention to detail
To be able to work under pressure
Shift Pattern - Monday - Friday 7:30am-4:30pm
Rate of pay - £13 per hour
