Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to help deliver our regulatory responsibilities as the Enforcement Authority for the Reservoirs Act 1975 in England. The Reservoirs Act helps to ensure the safe operation and management of dams. This role is part-time (22.2 hours per week) with a job share arrangement and may require some travel.
Responsibilities
* monitor our day-to-day correspondence
* record incoming documentation on our database to ensure that our records are accurate and up to date
* encourage compliance when reports or certificates are not received as expected
* be the first point of contact for reservoir owners and panel engineers
* provide information and advice on the requirements of the Act
Team and role context
You will join the Environmental Assessment and Reservoir Regulation department, part of the Flood & Coastal Risk Management (FCRM) Directorate. The Reservoir Regulation team is a nationally dispersed team comprising 25+ members responsible for regulating more than 2140 large raised reservoirs in England. Some travel and overnight stays will be required.

This is a part-time job share (22.2 hours per week). This is a national role so you can be based at any Environment Agency office. All staff undertake training and participate in incident response duties when needed; an incident role is an essential part of working for the Environment Agency.
