Job Purpose
The role involves partnering with decentralized departments to identify cost transformation opportunities by consolidating supplier spends, negotiating new contracts with discounts & favorable pricing.
* Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts to ensure the best terms.
* Lead the group's strategy to consolidate suppliers and create a group-wide "preferred supplier" list for decentralized spend.
* Ensure contracts are in place and up-to-date for key suppliers providing critical services or products.
* Support decentralized functions throughout procurement processes for new suppliers, including risk assessments, tendering, due diligence, and contractual negotiations.
* Maintain the group’s 3rd party supplier register.
* Conduct audits of new supplier procurements to ensure compliance with the group’s framework.
* Perform value-for-money compliance audits to ensure spend aligns with policies (e.g., Travel spend).
* Support regulatory compliance with Data Protection laws (G.D.P.R) by keeping policies updated.
* Build close relationships with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and develop procurement strategies accordingly.
* Ensure compliance with relevant European laws, regulations, industry standards, and organizational policies.
* Provide monthly updates on savings and other metrics related to cost transformation initiatives.
The Ideal Person
* Experience in implementing Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement.
* At least 2 years' experience in an operational FMCG environment.
* Experience with change management.
* Proven ability to create a strong culture of involvement and influence through empowerment and coaching.
Desirable
* Experience in a similar role.
* Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, or food environment is preferred.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a hands-on, results-oriented approach.
* Motivated, ambitious, with strong interpersonal, negotiation skills, and commercial focus.
