Field Service Engineer - Level 3 - Heathrow Airport Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to join our team, hybrid role with your main base location being Heathrow Airport, the successful applicants will live within 1hr commute from there. Please note: Due to the level of UK Security Clearance required, you need to have lived/worked in the UK for a minimum of 5 years. Valid / Current UK Driving Licence. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and installing our equipment at various customer sites. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of electrical and mechanical systems, a strong technical background, and excellent customer service skills. Key Responsibilities: Meet daily service repair needs and ensure customer satisfaction. Install, repair, and maintain equipment in the field. Provide customer training as required. Document all inspections, maintenance, and repair work; submit paperwork timely. Manage repair parts cycle time, including ordering, installing, and returning parts. Review logs for open issues and prepare formal reports to customers as necessary. Participate in service sales opportunities and assist with revenue programs. Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of tools and test equipment. Assess product/equipment performance based on field support data; recommend improvements. Provide technical support to customers and other service professionals as required. Conduct follow-up calls with customers to check system status. Comply with company health, safety, and environmental policies. Technical Knowledge: Associate degree, ONC, HNC, or equivalent technical training/experience. Experience in troubleshooting and field repair of electrical and electronic systems. Competency in using MS Office Suite and learning specialized software. Experience with mechanical and air-conditioning systems is desirable. Familiarity with X-Ray, CT Scanning, Explosive Detection Equipment. Skills and Abilities: Due to the level of UK Security Clearance required, you need to have lived/worked in the UK for a minimum of 5 years. Valid / Current UK Driving Licence. Ability to work autonomously and be proactive, reliable, and accountable. Excellent customer service skills and ability to handle stressful situations. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and manage several projects simultaneously. Team-oriented and flexible, actively seeking to share information and assist peers. Willingness to travel when required and provide technical assistance when not on-site.
