We are Merton United, One Borough one Team at an exciting point in our journey. Working for Merton means you’ll be making a difference to the lives of local residents and businesses. Together we are finding new ways to work more efficiently to serve our community.
One of the Council’s key priorities is reducing Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) and making our communities safe places to live, work and spend time in. Safer Merton lead on this, working in partnership and often leading on a multi-agency response to problem-solving ASB cases to ensure residents experiencing ASB receive an excellent service.
This is an opportunity for someone with strongly developed partnership working, communication and leadership skills to manage and motivate a team of three ASB Officers in a busy environment and ensure best practice is embraced.
The role involves nurturing close relationships with a range of partners both internal to the Council and externally such as the Police and Registered Social Landlords. Knowledge of the ASB Crime and Policing Act is essential to this role as the successful candidate will be expected to make effective and appropriate use of the tools and powers available.
