My job Location: Anwick Department: GB Transport Reports to: Transport Manager About the Role We have an exciting new opportunity for a Fleet H&S & Driver Training Lead who will be responsible for health and safety processes and training delivery across Moy Park GB & NI operations such that standards are maintained to a level that meets current industry legislation & is in line with our Operators Licence undertakings. The Successful candidate will be expected to travel on a regular basis between sites and will be responsible for working with the Fleet management and operations teams to ensure logistics health and safety processes development and training delivery enables safe & compliant operation in all complexes and operating locations, whilst ensuring maximum uptime. Key Responsibilities Manage and drive the driver training programme to include new starts, "Hire to Drive ", Transport apprentices and inductions as well as on going refresher training for own and agency drivers. GB and NI Develop and manage and co-ordination of driver CPC training across all operational sites. Undertake driver training records maintenance, administration and weekly / monthly KPI / management reporting duties relevant to the logistics function in a timely manner and in alignment to agreed audit criteria. Adopt and ensure compliance on all aspects of H&S legislation with the target of zero harm. Review, update and maintain cross business H&S events (recorded in QUOR) relating to fleet. Completion of investigation & corrective action close outs on transport related incidents. To educate and train local management team in how to carry out thorough investigations for all incidents. Provide advice to the Managers on accidents/incident and Health & Safety issues. Be responsible for reviewing and communicating current and upcoming statutory and industry standards changes in fleet H&S, so that Moy Park fleet remain legally compliant and up to date. Evaluate, update and implement logistics H&S policies and training processes across all GB & NI locations, to reflect the impact of regulatory and business change, to include asset acquisition and asset reengineering. Support Site Logistics Managers in managing driver performance. About you NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent desirable IOSH H&S certificate desirable Experience of developing procedures, policies, auditing, and report writing Customer facing experience and proactive resolution of issues Min of 1-year experience in a Health & Safety / training role in a Transport environment, would be desirable Experience in delivering continuous improvement initiatives A high sense of responsibility and operational drive Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and capable of fostering strong relationships Full UK Driving Licence and flexibility to travel across regions as required Why Work for Pilgrim's Europe?
