At Flagship Services, we are seeking a skilled Carpenter to work as part of our Void works team to help us deliver exceptional service and quality for customers moving into our homes.
In this role, you will work efficiently and safely and strive to minimise waste. You will carry out a range of carpentry and related works to support the repairs and maintenance of Flagship Properties. Using various tools and equipment, including a provided Flagship Services vehicle, you will perform tasks such as installation and repair of doors and windows, associated furniture, flooring, tiling, and basic painting and decorating. You may also support in cleaning damp and mould, carry out void clearances and flood repairs, and identify and arrange removal of asbestos when needed. Ensuring cost-effective and high-quality service for our tenants is essential. Ongoing cyclical compliance and safety training will be provided.

Minimum Essential Criteria for Carpenter (Void Works) Role
* Full trade apprenticeship, NVQ Level 2 within a relevant trade, or equivalent experience in carpentry.
* Full, clean UK driving licence with willingness to travel across company properties.
* Ability to complete a broad range of carpentry tasks, including repairs, installation of doors, windows, skirting, and kitchen or bathroom fitting in void properties. Confident in using appropriate tools and equipment, with a strong focus on health & safety.
* Good problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude when faced with unforeseen challenges or emergencies on-site.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills for diverse interactions.
* Competent in Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Teams, and emails. Willing to learn or use tablet-based apps for receiving and logging jobs.
* Willing to participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota, which may include public holidays.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, customer-focused team.
