Job Summary
We're looking for a friendly, organised, and proactive Receptionist to join our growing admin team. This is a front-line role where you'll be the first point of contact for our patients whether in person, on the phone, or online, so a calm, professional manner and excellent communication skills are essential.
You'll be part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary team, providing vital support to patients and clinical staff alike. From managing appointments and handling queries, to signposting services and maintaining accurate records, no two days are ever the same.

Key Responsibilities
* Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
* Manage the appointment system (in person, telephone, and online bookings)
* Answer incoming phone calls and deal with queries or direct calls appropriately
* Signpost patients to the correct service or professional
* Process patient information and maintain accurate medical records on EMIS
* Handle requests for information (e.g., SARs, insurance, DVLA)
* Support administrative and clinical staff with day-to-day tasks
* Maintain a clean, tidy, and efficient reception area
* Scan and file documents electronically to patient records
* Participate in opening and closing procedures
* Handle repeat prescription requests (training provided)
* Attend and contribute to practice and team meetings

Desirable:
* Experience in a receptionist or customer service role
* Previous NHS, GP practice, or healthcare setting experience
* Familiarity with EMIS or other clinical systems
* AMSPAR Receptionist Qualification or NVQ in Health and Social Care
