Organisation Designer / Job Architecture Lead
Location: City of London (Hybrid working, 2-3 days per week in the office)
Contract Length: 6 Months
Rate: £750 - £800 per day (Inside IR35)
We are seeking an exceptional Job Architecture Lead to design and deliver a simplified, transparent and future‑ready job architecture that underpins fair pay, clear career pathways and a modern skills‑based organisation.
This is a high‑impact role at the heart of a transformation—ideal for someone who combines strategic OD expertise with hands‑on delivery capability and strong stakeholder influence.
What you’ll lead
1. Discovery & Current‑State Analysis
* Assess existing job framework, job titles, levels, evaluation models and career structures.
* Analyse workforce, skills and organisational design data to identify opportunities for simplification and alignment.
2. Target Architecture Design
* Design the bank‑wide job architecture including job families, levels/titles, competencies and career pathways.
* Develop a scalable Job Repository and standards that support consistent decision-making across the organisation.
* Align job architecture to skills frameworks and future capability needs.
3. Roadmap & Implementation Planning
* Build a detailed delivery plan, governance model and change approach.
* Ensure seamless integration with reward frameworks, workforce planning and HR systems.
4. Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management
* Work closely with senior leaders, HR, Reward and business stakeholders to embed the new job architecture.
* Translate complex concepts into clear, actionable messages.
* Drive adoption through strong communication, education and engagement.
5. Knowledge Transfer & Capability Building
* Equip HRBPs, line managers and centres of excellence with the tools, understanding and capability to apply and maintain the new framework.
What you’ll bring
* Expertise in job/role architecture design and implementation in a complex organisation.
* Hands-on experience using skills frameworks, competency models and career pathway design.
* Strong data-led design capability and ability to simplify complexity.
* Background in organisational change, cultural transformation and stakeholder management at senior levels.
* Familiarity with recognised job evaluation methodologies (e.g., Hay, Mercer, Willis Towers Watson).
* Experience linking job architecture to policy, reward and pay frameworks.
* Ability to translate conceptual frameworks into practical, usable solutions.
* Strong communication, facilitation and influencing skills.
* Experience in knowledge transfer or capability building within HR teams.
