At Wilderness Way, everything starts with relationships. We believe that when children are truly understood, the right home can be life changing. As Referrals and Admissions Partner, you will help make that happen by guiding thoughtful, ethical placement decisions rooted in each child’s needs.
Working alongside commissioners, social workers and Registered Managers, you’ll lead referrals into our homes with curiosity, judgement and care, balancing risk, opportunity and long‑term outcomes.
This is a role for someone who understands complexity, values collaboration and is confident holding the balance between care, risk and opportunity.
What You’ll Do:
Lead the triage and review of incoming referrals, assessing need, risk and suitability
Ensure referral information is thorough, timely and supports confident decision‑making by Registered Managers
Work in partnership with local authorities, commissioners and internal teams to progress referrals appropriately
Apply strong knowledge of children’s homes regulations to support compliant, high‑quality placements
Track referral activity, conversion rates and emerging themes to inform learning and improvement
Act as a professional advocate for children, ensuring decisions reflect both their needs and long‑term outcomes
About You
A recognised qualification in social work, social care or a related discipline
Strong experience within children’s services or residential childcare
Confident working with complexity, risk and high‑pressure decision‑making
A clear, respectful communicator who builds trust with external and internal partners
Values‑led, reflective and able to work autonomously within a remote setting
