Product Manager (SFIA 5) – Contract
£460/day | Remote (Leeds/Newcastle travel 1x per month for 2 days at a time) | BPSS Required | ASAP
Experience of working in a UK government organisation is essential.
A leading public sector organisation is seeking a Product Manager (SFIA Level 5) to support the delivery of digital services within a fast-paced, agile environment.
You will be responsible for shaping product direction, managing backlogs, and working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver value-driven outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Own and prioritise product backlogs aligned to business and user needs
* Define and communicate product vision and roadmap
* Collaborate with engineering, design, and stakeholders to drive delivery
* Support agile delivery through iterative development and continuous improvement
* Engage stakeholders and manage expectations across the organisation
1. Key Requirements
* Proven experience as a Product Manager in digital/technology environments
* Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies
* Experience managing stakeholders and influencing decision-making
* Ability to translate complex requirements into clear product outcomes
2. Additional Information
* BPSS clearance required (or eligible)
* Occasional travel to Leeds or Newcastle (approx. once per month for 2 days)
* Prior experience within a government agency or wider public sector essential
