Overview
Cavendish Northern Limited are a specialist mechanical and pipework contracting company seeking an ambitious and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with strong industry knowledge and a proven track record of winning work within construction, engineering and industrial services sectors.
Responsibilities
* Identify and secure new business opportunities in mechanical and pipework contracting.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, consultants, and clients.
* Develop and manage a pipeline of projects, from enquiry through to contract reward.
* Work with estimating and project teams to prepare tenders and proposals.
* Represent the company at meetings, site visits, and industry events.
What We're Looking For
* Experience in business development or sales within mechanical and pipework contracting or related industries.
* Strong knowledge of mechanical/pipework systems and contracting practices.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Commercial awareness and understanding of tendering processes.
* Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.
Qualifications & Experience
* Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or Business (preferred, but not essential).
* 5+ years' industry experience.
* Existing client network desirable.
* Full UK driving licence.
