We are currently recruiting a Kitchen Porter to support our dedicated catering team. This is a full-time, permanent role in a dynamic school environment that closes over the Christmas period, allowing you time to enjoy the holidays with your family.
Location: Strathallan School, Forgandenny, Perth, PH2 9EG
Pay: £12.50 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week (5 days over 7)
Shift Pattern: Earliest start 7:00am, latest finish 7:30pm (occasionally 9:00pm during hospitality events)
Travel: Due to our rural location, a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.
What You’ll Do
Maintain exceptional cleanliness in all kitchen and food preparation areas
Wash crockery, cutlery, utensils, and kitchen equipment
Clean floors, walls, fridges/freezers, bins, delivery areas, and more
Put away deliveries and keep storage areas tidy
Follow all Health & Safety, COSHH, and hygiene regulations
Report any accidents, equipment shortages, or hazards
What You Bring
A positive, can-do attitude and team spirit
Respect for others and professionalism
Basic food-handling knowledge (training provided)
Ability to lift and move heavy items, and stand for long periods
No previous experience needed – just a willingness to learn
