Join our team this summer, as a QA Engineer Intern. Based in Sheffield, UK, the opportunity will start mid/end of June 2024 until September 2024, for a 3-month period. The Sheffield R&D office is responsible for the SIMULIA Durability solver running on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. In addition to 3DEXPERIENCE, the Durability solver drives the established product fe-safe, a standalone on-premise rich client which is a core part of the power-of-the-portfolio initiative. The QA team work closely with the developers and are an integral part of the process from design through to release. The team is well supported by an onsite physical test suite of Windows and Linux machines. Responsibilities You will perform release testing on all Durability products. Executing existing test scripts, matching results, logging defects and reporting status You will create your own manual and automated test scripts to cover new functionality You will also be expected to contribute to the current initiative to transition existing manual test scripts to the growing automated test suite Qualifications You are currently studying for a Degree or Masters in Computer Science or Engineering You have a strong desire to deliver robust error free software solutions You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, proven ability to present technical information in a clear and succinct manner to peers and management You have a natural willingness to look for inefficiencies and opportunities to improve performance and reliability
