WithYou in Liskeard is seeking a dedicated Independent Prescriber to support individuals with substance misuse issues. The role involves working closely with clinical and operational teams to ensure safe, effective prescribing and holistic care tailored to client needs. Responsibilities
* Assess and support clients with substance misuse issues in a community setting.
* Develop, implement, and evaluate treatment interventions including harm reduction, support and advice, vaccination, and blood testing programs.
* Engage proactively with community members to offer education and support.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
Candidate Requirements
* Registered Nurse (RN) or Pharmacist (GPhC) with an independent prescriber qualification.
* Experience in prescribing and community healthcare assessments.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development.
* Knowledge of substance misuse and its health impacts.
Additional Information
This is a full-time (37.5 hours/week) position based in Liskeard. We provide induction, supervision, and CPD opportunities. Full training will be provided for those with relevant backgrounds interested in working with this client group.
