Trainee Parts Person
Portadown Depot
Reporting to: The Parts Manager
In today's competitive business climate, it is more important than ever to have a qualified and highly skilled workforce. Various crafts and skills are required to ensure the Company's increasing success and profitability. Ideally applicants should possess good formal educational qualifications. Four or more GCSE's at grade C or above would be preferential with Maths and English essential.
Hours or work are from am to pm Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities
1. Attend to mechanics at the workshop counter.
2. Ensure all parts are charged to correct job numbers.
3. Help keep the parts department clean and tidy at all times.
4. Carry out other duties as and when required by the parts manager.
5. Participate in stock checks when required.
6. When trained work overtime, evenings and Saturdays as requested. Be available to supply parts after hours especially at weekends.
7. When required drive the spare parts delivery van making deliveries to customers throughout Northern Ireland. In addition, the person appointed may be required to drive between our depots in Garvagh and/or Mallusk to ensure we make use of stock at the other sites.
8. Check off incoming spare parts. Make sure that they are stored in the correct parts bins and are properly recorded on D365 system.
9. Attend to customers at the front counter.
10. Answer incoming telephone calls from customers and suppliers.
