Would you like to join London’s leading nursing team? We are looking for a Staff Nurse to join our Medical/ Stroke Rehabilitation ward, St Francis, our 15 bedded ward specialising in providing care to a variety of medical cases and stroke rehabililation. Occasionally, the ward is also utilised
for minor, non-complex, short-stay surgical patients.
The successful applicant will have been working in a similar environment and will be up to date in current practices. Experience will extend to working within a busy ward and professional, multi-disciplinary teams. Ideally, you will have worked in a ward specialising in medical or stroke rehabilitation. What would be my responsibilities be my responsibilities as the Senior Staff Nurse:
1. To assist in the planning and the delivery of individualised, safe, effective and evidence based patient care
2. To ensure the provision of a welcoming, caring and safe environment for patients and their families.
3. To participate in the efficient operational management of the department and undertake shift leading responsibility on a regular basis.
4. To deputise for the Ward Manager and Deputy ward Manager
5. To undertake tasks and responsibilities assigned by the Ward Manager supporting the management and development of the nursing care and the delivery of the service
6. To undertake the Duty Manager role
7. To provide support to the Ward Manager, Deputy ward Manager and shift leaders
8. To undertake a link nurse role(s) for designated clinical responsibilities, attend meetings and complete associated actions attached to the link nurse role
9. To participate in presenting and delivering teaching sessions for the clinical staff

10. Registered Nurse – (Adult) with a valid NMC registration
11. Diploma/degree in relevant subject
12. Post registration qualification in stroke or acute Medicine or demonstrate relevant experience and competency in area of specialities
13. 2 years post registration experience in one of the specialities of the ward
14. Experience of Shift Management and Leading a team
15. Evidence of ongoing training and commitment to development
