The Bristol Heart Institute are looking for an Assistant Performance and Operations Manager (APOM) to join their team. This is an exceptional opportunity to take on a challenging, high profile role within the Division of Specialised Services. Based in the Bristol Heart Institute, the post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day operational running of the Cardiac admissions and outpatients services. Working with the Deputy/Performance & Operations Managers, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role leading a team of administrators, whilst working closely with clinical & management teams.
The successful candidate will ideally have an operational background working within healthcare and have the ability to communicate effectively with staff and patients. They should demonstrate strong leadership skills, positivity, resilience and enthusiasm. A proven track record in delivering service improvements would be advantageous and a passion to improve patient care is essential. In return, you can expect to work in a fast-paced environment, working with a variety of clinical and non-clinical staff, in a role which is challenging but rewarding.
Working closely with the Performance & Operations Managers, Deputy Performance & Operations Manager and clinical and administrative teams, to ensure capacity is fully and flexibly utilised to treat patients, to ensure both clinical requirements and Trust service objectives are achieved.
