Job Overview
We are looking for experienced caring Night Team Leaders to join our team of Support Staff at a new home opening in June to deliver 1-1 support to young adults with learning disabilities and complex needs/challenging behaviour. The Residents will have a varying degrees of learning disabilities, Autism, Sensory impairments and challenging behaviours. Support Staff will be promoting independence and supporting them to lead a fulfilling life. While keeping the Residents, themselves and others safe at all times.
Every day will be different where you will be supporting the individuals we care for with daily challenges, helping them to learn new life skills and taking part in their evening and night routines. Residents will be encouraged be out and about, enjoying life together and no single day will be the same. Therefore, it is important as a Night Team leader that residents are safe and at ease when winding down from their productive days.
As a Team Leader your role is to co-Ordinate high quality support to adults with learning disabilities or Autism and identify if the support provided is appropriate as well as manage a team of support workers. You MUST ensure our service users receive the utmost support t at all times. You will be responsible for ensuring staff follow both company and CQC guidance and work within company policies and procedures.
Duties
* Supervise and support care staff during shifts, ensuring adherence to care plans and best practices.
* Communicate effectively with team members, residents, and families to address concerns and provide updates on resident wellbeing.
* Assist in the development and implementation of individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
* Monitor the performance of staff, providing guidance and training as necessary to enhance their skills.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care home environment.
* Drive company vehicles as needed for resident outings or other operational requirements.
* Maintain accurate records related to resident care and staff performance.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a supervisory role within a care home or senior care setting is essential.
* Experience of working with challenging behaviour and complex needs would be an advantage
* Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate effective interactions with residents, families, and staff.
