Location: Sutton Coldfield (Office-based preferred; Hybrid considered)
Salary: £32,000 – £35,000 (Dependent on experience)
Contract: 12-Month Fixed Term Contract (with potential extension to 18 months)

Job Type: Full-time-37.5 hours – Typical 8.30- 16.30

The Role
We are seeking a skilled Finance Assistant on a 12-month contract basis, with potential extension to 18 months). You’ll work closely with senior management and be responsible for maintaining the financial health of the business through accurate, timely, and proactive support.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the cash flow (circa £1 million)
* Perform accurate banking transactions,
* Oversee and process employee expenses bank reconciliations and associated reporting, analysis and query resolution
* Manage outsourced high volume weekly payroll and associated queries
* Manager internal staff payroll and staff payroll queries
* Maintain accurate records using Sage 50, Xero, and Excel
* Use pivot tables and VLOOKUPs for reporting and data analysis
* Support day-to-day financial operations within a small, collaborative team
What We’re Looking For
* AAT Qualified or 5+ years of solid finance experience within an SME
* Confident using Sage 50, Xero
* High level of competency in Excel is essential. VLOOKUP’s/pivot table knowledge would be advantageous
* Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and organisation skills
* Self-motivated with a hands-on, flexible approach
* Great communication and ability to work well in a small team setting
