We are seeking a qualified BSL Level 2 or higher professional to work closely with students with Hearing Impairments, supporting their learning and development in a BSL-friendly environment. This is a long-term position where you will play a crucial role in helping students achieve their full potential while fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will be:
* Qualified: A minimum of BSL Level 2 certification (candidates with lower qualifications but extensive experience using BSL will also be considered).
* Passionate: Committed to the growth and development of students with additional needs, particularly those with Hearing Impairments.
* Experienced: Proven track record of working with students with Hearing Impairments or in a similar setting.
* Dynamic: Able to adapt teaching methods to suit individual needs and deliver engaging, differentiated learning experiences.
* Reliable: Holding a current DBS certificate (or willing to obtain one).
Your Role Will Include
* Providing one-on-one and group support to students with Hearing Impairments.
* Creating a nurturing and BSL-inclusive environment that promotes learning and communication.
* Collaborating with teaching staff to ensure tailored learning plans are effectively delivered.
* Supporting the school's mission to raise levels of attainment for all students.
