Role Overview:
Are you passionate about driving innovation and continuous improvement in manufacturing? We’re looking for a Project Engineer to join our UK Supply Operations team. Reporting to the Process Engineering Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering “Future Factory” projects and supporting production teams with impactful continuous improvement initiatives. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-value projects, influence technical decisions, and shape the future of our manufacturing capabilities.
Your objectives and responsibilities will focus on…
* Leading and delivering general improvement projects to enhance product quality, manufacturing processes, and cost efficiency.
* Implementing advanced “Future Factory” solutions to ensure capacity and capability meet future demand.
* Collaborating with Engineering and Business Systems teams to introduce new technologies.
* Applying Lean and Agile methodologies across all project activities.
* Developing business cases, managing project teams, timelines, and budgets.
* Supporting the full lifecycle of new equipment and process introductions—from concept to production handover.
* Communicating effectively with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and contractors.
Your previous experience is likely to include….
* A strong technical engineering background with hands‑on project delivery experience.
* Proven success in managing multiple change projects using Lean and Agile techniques.
* A solid understanding of project management principles and tools.
* Experience working with external suppliers and contractors.
* Familiarity with assembly and machining processes, automation, or robotics.
To be successful in this role you will…
* Demonstrate Company Core Values at all times.
* Hold an HNC or BTEC Level 4 in a manufacturing or engineering discipline (APM, Prince2, or apprenticeship qualifications are a plus).
* Be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and skilled in problem‑solving and analysis.
* Demonstrate excellent time management, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Be capable of managing multiple projects using both linear and iterative approaches.
* Understand project governance, including relevant legislation, risk management, and contract negotiation.
* Show commercial acumen and experience with continuous improvement techniques.
