Our Water contractor client are seeking Site Agents to support on their Devon based South West Water framework projects.\n\nThe role will be covering wastewater non infra structure projects with our client looking to place candidates as close to site as possible.\n\nYou will be managing projects within the Infrastructure Business Unit in the Water streams from contract award through to completion - achieving acceptable financial outcomes whilst adhering to the quality, safety and environmental policies. You will report to either a Contracts Manager or Project Manager depending on the value and complexity of project and personal experience/ability.\n\nOur client is open to considering candidates from other sector with strong site experience and will consider Highways, Utilities, Naval/dockyard etc.\n\nResponsibilities \n\nResource allocation and management of Site staff.\nReporting to the senior Manager on Department budget control procedures for contracts and progress against programme.\nEnsuring safe systems of work and the Company Safety Policy are practiced.\nEnforcement and monitoring of the Division's Quality Assurance and Environmental systems.\nManagement of projects/contracts.\nCommunication at all levels regarding progress of projects.\nLine management/supervision for Sub Agents & General Foreman.\nIndirectly supervise Site Engineer, Foreman and Gangers. \n\nSkills/experience/qualifications\n\nEssential: Civil Engineering/Construction management degree\nDesirable: Chartered status or approaching.\nEvidence of relevant post-graduation practical training e.g., attendance on courses for Form of Contracts, Formwork/Falsework Appreciation, Concrete Technology, H & S Management etc.\nPossesses proven experience on challenging and diverse projects with major clients e.g., LUL, HA, Water Companies, Petro/Chem.\nProven experience from engineering background demonstrating progress to Site Agent through career development with both theoretical and practical experience.\nSite qualifications: CSCS card, SMSTS (5 day), First Aid at Work (4 day), National Water Hygiene cardBenefits \n\nCompetitive salary\nCar allowance\n26 days annual leave (with the opportunity to buy or sell up to 3 days holiday)\nPrivate medical insurance for yourself (with the option to buy family cover)\nLife Assurance\nDefined contribution pension scheme matched up to 8%\n2 days volunteering opportunities\nFlexible and Agile working (dependent on your role)\nEmployee Assistance Programme\nFlexible Benefits scheme which includes the opportunity to purchase benefits such as:\nCritical illness insurance (with option to purchase for your partner)\nDental Insurance\nTravel insurance\nCycle to work scheme\nRetail vouchers/payroll giving/activity pass for top leisure attractions
