Only About Children Torquay
Our recently opened Only About Children Torquay campus are looking for a passionate Early Childhood Teacher to lead the Kindergarten program. OAC Torquay, a beautifully two-level, 130 place childcare centre, offers a warm and spacious environment for both children and our wonderful team. We prioritise creating a fun, supportive atmosphere where children can thrive and reach their individual potential through a passion for play and learning.
We believe children have a right to a choice when it comes to their learning, which is why at Only About Children (OAC) the basis of our OAC Grow curriculum is child-led, play-based learning. This is embedded into our daily practice with diverse, holistic programs tailored to support every child to thrive.
Key duties:
* Planning and implementing the educational program which values a holistic view of each child's development
* Maintaining ongoing records of the children's development, program and daily information
* Assisting with daily room tasks – e.g. activity preparation and mealtimes
* Assuring the high quality of services in consideration of the National Quality Standards
* Implemeting the ready for school program
* Guiding team members with their professional development, individual goals and performance.
Requirements of the Role
* A Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood) or equivalent ACECQA approved teaching qualifications
* Valid VIT registration (Early Childhood)
* Experience in planning and implementing the educational program
* Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework and EYLF
* Effective implementation of pedagogy in your teaching practice
* Srong understanding of Child Safe Standards
