Job Description
This role is based 5 days a week at our Shirebrook HQ.
You will support stock and sales reconciliations for a retailer with over £5bn turnover, requiring quick adaptation to demands, involvement in acquisitions, making commercial recommendations, and presenting to senior stakeholders.
* Producing and reviewing Monthly Management Accounts, cost lines, budgets, and forecasts.
* Managing one employee—assessing performance, demonstrating best practices, and developing future talent.
* Reviewing and investigating variances between actual results and budgets/forecasts.
* Reconciling all relevant entities' balance sheets.
* Owning and presenting monthly finance reports to line managers and senior finance staff as needed.
* Building relationships and acting as a Business Partner for financial and numerical queries across departments such as retail support, commercial analysis, buying, and warehouse operations.
* Supporting group and statutory audits for relevant entities.
* Assisting with the integration of new subsidiaries.
Qualifications
* Qualified ACCA/CIMA
* Leadership and managerial experience
* Experience in stock control within retail is advantageous
* Minimum 2 years in a similar finance role
* Excellent IT skills, especially MS Excel
* Aiming to develop and grow within a commercial business
