Applications are invited for a substantive Consultant Cardiac Surgeon position at the West of Scotland Heart & Lung Centre, based at Golden Jubilee University National Hospital (GJUNH). This high-volume cardiac centre serves 2.6 million people in the west of Scotland and hosts the national cardiac transplantation service for Scotland.
The successful candidate should have a subspecialty interest in aortic surgery and will play a key role in developing the aortic surgery program at GJUNH. Additionally, the candidate will collaborate with a team of cardiac surgeons and electrophysiology cardiologists on lead extraction and device procedures.
The role involves a full range of outpatient and inpatient activities within a broad multidisciplinary team (MDT) network.
Applicants must hold full GMC registration and be on the Specialist Register or eligible for admission within 6 months of the interview date.
