In your role as Remuneration Team Manager you will be responsible for managing and developing the Trust's Electronic Staff Record (ESR), ensuring benefits realization, best practice, and integration across associated systems, i.e. Payroll. Your role reports to the Head of Establishment Systems Team and includes managing and developing systems and processes to ensure ESR and associated systems are effectively deployed and used productively across our entire Trust, providing an essential data management function and ensuring timely workforce and payroll management of all employee groups.
Responsibilities
* Provide transactional services that are fully compliant with national guidelines and local policy requirements, including GDPR.
* Lead operational liaison with the Trust's payroll provider.
* Lead and manage the Remuneration Team.
* Provide support, advice and guidance to your team regarding technical aspects of ESR, workforce structures, pay and grading.
* Demonstrate flexible independent working to support the function and the Trust.
* Provide training and advice to managers and key stakeholders, managing relationships concerning terms and conditions, pay awards, etc.
* Communicate effectively to simplify complex information.
* Analyse, interpret and advise the Trust on the impact of pay circulars, Agenda for Change amendments, incremental workforce changes and highly complex payroll data issues, formulating action plans to address identified risks.
* Monitor key performance indicators monthly and escalated challenges appropriately.
* Compile and present reports and analysis to key stakeholders at all levels of the Trust, ensuring the project delivers on business case objectives.
Qualifications
* Master's degree level education and/or equivalent experience in a leadership role with workforce systems or payroll, with in‑depth knowledge of ESR and workforce systems.
* Significant experience managing workload in a workforce/finance systems function, agreeing solutions with service users and across the Trust.
* Significant experience managing workforce structures, data reporting and information management, with experience working within a payroll function.
* Deep understanding of workforce metrics and KPIs.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to deal with managers and staff at all levels efficiently, courteously, confidently and assertively; able to attend meetings and present to diverse groups.
* Ability to produce and develop complex and intuitive management reports to monitor utilisation, identify themes and trends and performance compliance.
* Excellent Windows IT skills, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and especially Excel.
