The newly established Voice and Influence Team is looking for its next valued team member:
We're building a service where young people are at the heart of everything we do. You will champion, capture, and amplify the voices of children and young people (ages 0-18, or up to 21 for care experienced or SEND).
The Role
As a Voice and Influence Worker, you'll:
* Work in a small, dynamic team, reporting to the Team Leader.
* Empower children and young people to share their views and shape services.
* Work directly with children 1:1 and in groups, ensuring their voices are heard and valued.
* Represent young people's voices in meetings and forums—locally, regionally, and nationally.
* Collaborate with agencies and the Local Authority to drive real change.
* Lead and support groups like the Child in Care group, Care Leavers group, Young Inspectors, and Youth Cabinet.
* Provide advocacy, run consultations, and organise events and activity days.
* Help recruit and support our amazing Independent Volunteers.
About You
* You're passionate about making a difference for children and young people.
* You have experience working with children and young people, especially in empowering and advocacy roles.
* You're a confident communicator, able to engage with children in a variety of settings.
* You're enthusiastic, energetic, and committed to ensuring every child's voice is heard.
* You can work across sectors and with multiple agencies to champion the voice of the child.
