Senior HR Business Partner - Global Specialty Underwriter
Location: London City
The role is offered initially on a fixed term contract of 6 months after which there is an opportunity for the successful candidate to convert to permanent.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead and deliver projects including:
1. Full benefit review, including vendor selection for benefit portal
2. Market data and total comp review
3. JD architecture using Mercer framework
4. Total review of L&D offering, including talent framework
2. Partner with business leaders to develop and implement HR strategies supporting organizational goals
3. Advise on employee relations matters, including managing absence, conduct, and capability
4. Create a high-performance culture through performance management process
5. Identify risks and gaps in employee relation processes, providing proactive solutions
6. Guide managers through performance management issues, up to disciplinary and dismissal
7. Support organizational change, including TUPE and redundancy
8. Advise on employee retention and development solutions
9. Analyze HR MI to inform business decisions and strategies
10. Support talent identification and management, and provide learning and development opportunities
11. Design key job roles and succession plans
12. Determine appropriate sourcing strategy for new and replacement roles
13. Manage hiring process for proactive and strategic resource planning
14. Contribute to annual cycle deliverables for client group
Requirements:
* Experience as an HRBP in professional services environment (Financial services, Legal, Management consultancy)
* Experience within insurance industry is a plus
* Deep understanding of the employee life cycle
* Proven experience in building strong relationships with key business leaders/stakeholders
* Ability to lead projects with authority and gravitas
* Knowledge of trends and changes in policy affecting the workplace
* Understanding of regulations, including SMCR
* Ability to develop innovative policies, procedures, and ways of working
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills
* Proficiency in MS Office and computer systems
