About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and client-focused 3rd Line Support Engineer to join a growing Managed Services Provider (MSP) in Nottinghamshire. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced startup environment where you'll play a crucial role in delivering exceptional IT support to a diverse client base.
This hybrid role offers a mix of remote work, time at their offices, and regular on-site visits to client locations across the East Midlands. You'll be part of a collaborative team and have the chance to make a real impact.
As a senior member of the support team, you’ll handle a variety of responsibilities, including complex troubleshooting, infrastructure support, and contributing to projects.
While 3rd line support will be your primary focus, you'll also have the opportunity to assist with 2nd line support and get involved in project work. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical skills and a passion for providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as an escalation point for 2nd Line Engineers, diagnosing and resolving advanced technical issues.
* Design, implement, and support IT solutions for our SME clients.
* Contribute to and support infrastructure projects.
* Configure and support core Microsoft 365 services, including SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, Teams, and OneDrive.
* Troubleshoot network and connectivity issues, including firewalls, VPNs, DNS, and routing.
* Perform root cause analysis and implement effective, long-term solutions.
* Provide exceptional customer service and build strong client relationships through regular communication and on-site visits.
* Create and maintain technical documentation and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.
* Be willing to assist with occasional out-of-hours support or project-based work as needed.
Required Skills & Experience
* Experience with Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive).
* PowerShell scripting for administration and automation.
* Knowledge of security and compliance best practices.
* Experience with Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager.
* Solid understanding of DNS, DHCP, firewalls, and VPNs.
* Hands-on experience with switches, routers, and network troubleshooting.
* Experience with Azure Active Directory (AAD)
Desirable Qualifications (not essential but advantageous)
* Familiarity with ConnectWise or similar MSP tools.
* Previous experience working within an MSP environment.

* A proactive and self-motivated work ethic with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
* Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills – you will be interacting directly with clients, so professionalism is essential.
* A full UK driving license and willingness to travel to customer sites within the local area.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
