Carpet Roles UK are delighted to be assisting their clients, a leading and highly regarded marque in the UK Flooring sector in their search for an After Sales Technical Service Specialist to manage an area along the M4 in the south of England. Our clients are suppliers of LVT type Flooring into Retail and New Build clients predominantly though they also have Commercial clients to call on too. They are seeking a knowledgeable flooring professional with superb technical knowledge as well as a full set of “Soft Skills” to enable them to offer great customer service in sometimes difficult situations. The role is effectively to handle post sales issues with installations by either Housebuilder or Retail clients where the end customer has come across a problem with the flooring that they believe is down to manufacturer error, you will arrange visits and assess the issue, prepare reports and take photographs etc and then in conjunction with a head office based Customer service based coordinator make a decision on the validity of the claim and where required will liaise with internal teams to ensure the remedial action required is carried out to the customers satisfaction. Away from the daily coal face duties of visiting sites you will also feedback information to manufacturing and sales as well as carrying out client training as required to help reduce claims. A core function of this role is to reduce issues and to increase satisfaction as a result so a keen and analytical eye is required. You will also work proactively in cooperation with our clients sales teams to build excellent product knowledge for retailers and also end users via training visits and customer care visits to promote long life of the product with end users. We have a full specification on request for the role but the above gives a clear idea as to what the role is about. The Person we are seeking will therefore have the following attributes: Excellent knowledge of Flooring (LVT in particular) and its properties and installation requirements. Customer focussed positive and empathetic attitude. Well organised and capable of working with little supervision, planning your workload and liaising with internal and external stakeholders as required in a friendly and professional manner. Capable of assessing issues and preparing accurate and concise reports and gathering evidence for colleagues to work from Ian cooperation with you to reach decisions on issues and how they will be rectified.
